A Brief History of My Involvement in the Raising Up of The Church in Feilding
CONT....

1972: I revisited Taipei and this time found what I had been looking for. Witness Lee was there also at that time. He remembered me from New Zealand and invited me to have some fellowship with him after an elders' meeting, to which I was also invited. That fellowship left me with a lasting impression that he was a man of God-a man in God, whom I could trust and follow.

By now we were meeting as the church in Feilding. Most of those who had been with us in the "free group" joined in to enjoy the church life with its rich fulfilling ministry and its living vital expression. I was home at last!

Whilst I appreciated very much my upbringing and all the opportunities I had in the denomination and free groups, I was constantly aware of restricting influences from which I had now been freed. I love the church life and could never go back to what I left. Of course I still fervently believe the foundational truths. It was not a matter of forsaking them, but of going on and being built up upon them in further light and revelation of God's economy. Now, as a brother in the church, I love the priesthood of all the believers and the oneness in Christ alone regardless of background or doctrinal differences. I love the ministry which flows freely through the Body, the morning revival every day, and the joy and blessing of meeting with the brothers and sisters in the local church! I also appreciate the rich frequent fellowship with the churches the Lord has raised up in New Zealand and all over the world through the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee.

This is the Lord's recovery of what was lost down through the ages. This is God's desire and the present expression of God's New Testament economy, which will consummate in the New Jerusalem. N W
